The Lore
Mimzywhimsy is a portmanteau of my name and the word Whims and Whimsical. "Mimzy" comes from my irl name, Mimi which is the name most people know me by combined with "Whimsy" which is short for Whimsical, an adjective that best describes the vibe and aesthetic of my artworks and "Whims" because I'm spontaneous and impulsive whenever my creativity spikes. Eventually, I decided to stick to Mimzywhimsy for my artist name and Mimzy's Whimsies for my shop name.
The Whimsy
Hi! I'm Mim a.k.a Mimzywhimsy — a Graphic Designer and Illustrator based in the Philippines.
I enjoy illustrating mystical scenes inspired by music I love to listen to and adorably charming characters designed to be reminiscent of nostalgic memories from my own childhood and of course my favorite snacks! My Artwork's key feature is a whimsical color palette; that I spend a lot of time curating for each piece I hope that every time people look at my artworks, it takes them into lil magical adventures and misadventures!

My works focus on Branding & Illustration with a sprinkle of whimsy color palettes! ♥︎
I specialize in quirky and punny logos, often drawing inspiration from my favorite food and beverages! Currently, I work remotely as an UI and Color Designer for a Tokyo based Game Company since late 2019-early 2020, but have been working freelance for Indie Game Devs and other Game Studios since 2018. I still accept Freelance Projects! Peep my Art!
Illustrations
A mini collection of my favorite Illustrations! Mostly food and punny things. I love illustrating mystical scenery based on music that I enjoy listening to, as well as food and cute animals or both combined and making occasional puns with them. I tend to use palettes that I curated for projects since I like illustrating as a form of study and break from work related art, while still being able to use that time to improve while actually having fun.
Color Palettes
The Whimsy Palette is an archive of my favorite color palettes that I tend to reuse and other palettes I've built for projects over the years all in one bite-sized site! (ok so maybe not so bite sized anymore.) Most palettes are color picked from photos of daily life.Basically, a diary, but in the form of color palettes!While browsing my works, ever thought, "Wow the colors on this project look great!" Branding
In this collection you'll see some of my favorite Branding Projects + Graphic Design Bits 'n pieces. Some are personally indulgent ones I made for studies or from out of the blue ideas. You'll notice I tend to not limit myself with basic shapes when creating Logos as I like giving them a sense of quirkiness. I find illustrating unconventional Logos therapeutic and ended up as a Logo Designer for Games rather than regular businesses. However, if you like out of the box ideas you might find something you like!

The commission files will be provided through a Google Drive folder. The folder will be auto-deleted within 1 month, please don't forget to save the files!

By commissioning me, you agree that you have read and accepted the terms bellow.
General Terms & Disclaimer
The Artist reserves the right to decline commissions; cancel and refund the money for a commission, at any time.
The final product is strictly for Personal Non Commercial Use ONLY.
Rights must be purchased for Commercial Use feel free to discuss it beforehand.
The Artist retains all the rights over all the commissioned outputs unless the rights are purchased.
The Artist is allowed to display all commissioned outputs and post it online or attach it in their portfolio.
The Artist reserves the right to record the creation of the artwork unless agreed upon otherwise.
You are solely responsible for securing the proper rights for the characters you want the commission to feature.
Certain statements may be bound to change if discussed with the Artist prior to the commission.
Should any of the terms stated here be violated or breached you will be given a warning to explain and correct whatever action was made. However, if the warning is ignored, I have the right to publicize your violation, block you and ban you from any further work.
Payment
The client must first settle the payment after the agreement before the artist starts working on the commissioned piece.
Only commissions amounting to 5000 JPY, 2,000 PHP or 50 USD and above can be paid 50% upfront and 50% upon completion (if the client wishes to).
A proof of payment (screenshot, receipts) must be shown to confirm your order.
Available payment modes are Paypal and Ko-Fi only.
Other concerns and details should be discussed during our agreement, or feel free to inform me earlier via email/DM so we may discuss the payment process, quotations, etc.
Other Fees
A Design Fee applies for those who DO NOT have a reference for the subject and would like me to draw from a description.
A Kill Fee applies for termination of contract if there is one. If the Client terminates the contract anytime after the Deposit is made, but before the Artist completes the 1st round of revisions, the Deposit shall act as a Kill Fee. If the Client terminates the contract at any point after the Artist completes the first round of revisions, the Artist will keep the Deposit and the Client will owe a further 25% of the full balance as a Kill Fee.
Expenses: The Client will reimburse the Artist for the following expenses (model fee, stock art purchases, font licenses, etc.) separately from Artwork Fee. Expenses are subject to prior approval from the Client and The Artist will submit and provide receipts for these expenses with their final Invoice.
For private commissions or NDA work there is an additional 50% Fee separate from the Commercial License Fee.
Requesting the Non Watermarked version of the Artwork will cost 25% of the total fee. Unless the Artwork had been commissioned for Commercial Use in which case it's already been paid for. Or the Artwork costs $100 or more, where the non watermarked artwork comes for free. But you are not allowed to post the non-watermarked artwork online, redistribute and reproduce it or gain any sort of profit from it unless you've bought the commercial rights for it which you may discuss with the Artist.
Deadlines
Deadlines MUST be agreed upon beforehand.
It usually takes 2 weeks to a month before I get to start working on a project depending on whether I am open for commissions or currently working on a project.
Depending on the timeframe deadlines are subject to a Rush Fee.
Please state clearly and from the beginning if you'd like a time limit for your commission delivery. I do not allow due dates earlier than 2 weeks, and I will specify in my openings if the commission(s) will take longer than normal, so please keep this in mind.
Refunds
Refunds are affected based on the contract of agreement, if a contract is present.
The Artist charges a Kill Fee for termination of contract/commission.
Once work has started you may not refund your down payment.
If you wish to cancel the commission and you are fully paid I will only refund half the price of the Artwork if I've already begun the commission and will charge a Kill Fee as stated above.
Full refund is only allowed if I have not begun work within 15 days after the payment has been made or if you cancel your order within 3 days after down payment.
Failure on my part to deliver the product within a suitable amount of time as agreed upon by myself & the client will also result in a full refund.
All the above are strictly observed and applied to all services. please read carefully.
General Q's
Can we use your art for reference?
Yes, and No. I DO NOT allow direct recreation of my artworks in any form such as heavily referencing/blatantly copying my design. Referencing for practice and study is allowed, but you may not upload the piece anywhere upon completion and claim the design as yours. I appreciate asking for permission before referencing.Reposting?
I do not allow reposting of my artworks in sites where I already have accounts. Reposting in sites where I don't have accounts needs permission from me and needs to have a link back to my original post in the caption and not added as an after thought in the comments.Can we use your art as PFP? Wallpaper? etc.
Yes, if you:
Purchased this art.
Asked for permission and were allowed to use.
Links back to me in your bio/caption.
Will not alter my art in any way.
Will not remove my watermark.
Usage will not gain any profit in anyway.Basically, DO NOT USE MY ART WITHOUT PERMISSION!PS. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT FEEDING MY ART TO AN AI. JUST DON'T. I WILL COME FOR YOU. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST.
